• HELPING COMMUNITIES GROW AND FAMILIES FLOURISH

We support children, families and others living in the Lithgow & Blue Mountains areas

All our programs are free and voluntary. We do this by providing parenting and family programs, along with practical assistance.

Walking alongside children, families and communities, supporting them to THRIVE on their journey

Thrive Services is a not-for-profit community organisation that supports children, families & others living in the Lithgow and Blue Mountains areas. At THRIVE we believe in celebrating people’s achievements and strengths. We support families in times of change and transitions, helping when a new baby arrives, providing parenting and family support and practical assistance with bills and food.

CHILDREN

Katoomba & Lithgow

We support the children in our community through providing a variety of activities and groups that enrich their wellbeing and provide positive outcomes. We offer supported playgroups, group activities, fun days, special events and other programs to connect the children and families within our community.

FAMILY

We provide Targeted Earlier Intervention case management support to families and children in the Lithgow and Blue Mountains area. We offer tailored strength-based support to families through case management and targeted parenting programs to achieve their goals.

COMMUNITY

Katoomba

We support our community through our drop-in service every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am - 3pm at our Katoomba office. We provide emergency relief assistance, information, advice and referral. We offer fresh food hampers on our drop in days from 1pm and other means of material aid assistance.

HOMELESSNESS

Katoomba

We provide case management support to families with children under 18 years old who are at risk of homelessness or homeless, under the Specialist Homelessness Support Service (SHS) program. Our support is for families living in the Blue Mountains LGA.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land in which we work and live - the Darug, Gundungurra & the Wiradjuri people.
We pay our respects to the Elders, past and present, and to all Aboriginal people who walk these lands.

THE ULURU STATEMENT FROM THE HEART

IDAHOBIT

31 years ago - on May 17, 1990 - the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) celebrates LGBTQIA+ people globally, and raises awareness for the work still needed to combat discrimination.
