Community Liaison & Administration Worker – Katoomba

The Community Liaison Worker plays a key role in strengthening relationships with families and promoting Thrive Services’ programs. This role involves supporting families through intake and referral processes, improving access to services, fostering connections with external organisations, and contributing to community engagement activities. This role is grounded in a community development approach, with a focus on fostering trust, inclusion, belonging and community engagement.


About the role

Hours: Part-Time | 21 hours per week | 3 days per week
Award: SCHADS 2024 Level 4 (leave entitlements & option to salary package)
Location: Katoomba NSW


About you

To be successful in your application, you will need:

  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in coordination, community development initiatives, or support roles within the community services sector.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or diploma qualifications in community services or a similar field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and respectful engagement.
  • Excellent skills in computer programs such as MS Office, and ability to learn new databases or programs.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of intake processes and the ability to connect individuals with appropriate services.
  • Must have a current working with children check number.
  • Current NSW driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Must have National Criminal Check or will apply for one prior to commencement.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
