- Resident of NSW
- Are you a first-time parent?
- Is your child between 18mths to 3 years old?
- Do you identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, or have you recently migrated to Australia?
If so, we have a special, free opportunity for you and your child/ren!
You are welcome to bring your child along, and we’ll provide support while you focus on learning.
Course Overview
Gowrie NSW is offering a FREE parenting workshop in your local Lithgow community. These sessions are funded through the Start Strong Pathways program, an initiative of the NSW Government to strengthen understanding of learning in the early years of childhood. Our workshop is designed to help you connect with other parents while building your knowledge of how to support your child’s early development.
Key topics:
- Building healthy brains and attachment relationships
- Recognising cues and responding to big emotions
- Respectful caregiving for toddlers, including toilet learning
- Toddlers play and quality time
- How freedom of natural movement supports children’s development
You will take home a special collection of play objects and helpful resources to support your child’s development.
